Works Created During Tencent

Project Overview

These are some of the works I was involved in during my tenure at Tencent, as mentioned in my CV and personal statement. My responsibilities mainly included character system development, CG, and merchandise derivatives.

 

During this period, I encountered many highly skilled professionals. The most impactful for me was the lead artist of this game, who had an in-depth mastery of every art production process and possessed strong team collaboration skills, communicating effortlessly with both the programming and planning departments. Additionally, his energy was so abundant that his voice was a constant presence in the office.

 

The development of the character customization system also made me gradually realize the significance of  Technical Art. It is for these reasons that I chose to study abroad: to learn a new language, to acquire new skills, and to interact with people from diverse backgrounds. I hope that these experieces will assist me on my journey to become someone like him.

Responsibility

  • Worked with the art team to develop a character customization system and provided prototypes for the demo project

  • Collaborated with outsourced teams to optimize and iterate 3D assets and CG characters

  • Worked with the product team to generate peripheral products and brand collaborations
